With the Shakespearean tragedy Richard III, Franciscan University’s Theatre Department invites the audience to explore the complexities of the human conscience.
Richard III is a play based on the end of England’s War of the Roses. This fast-paced and engaging play, directed by theatre professor Dr. Monica Anderson, provokes thought about the violence done in pursuit of power and the ugly consequences of that destructive path.
Richard III will be performed November 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:00 p.m., and November 7 and 14 at 2:00 p.m. in Anathan Theatre, on the ground level of Egan Hall.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students and seniors. Admission is free for religious and children under 12. Tickets may be purchased by calling 740-283-6245, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or may be bought at the door.
