Kurt Halligan ’18

Kurt Halligan recently graduated with a master’s degree in history from Duquesne University. There, he built on and presented the research of World War I chemical weapons that he started at Franciscan. In fall 2020, he will serve as a teaching assistant at Ohio University as he pursues his PhD. Coming to Franciscan at age 42, Halligan credits the faith formation and his professors’ encouragement and mentorship—both inside and outside of the classroom—with giving him the foundation for his academic career.
