Dr. Dubois is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He earned his PhD and MA in Experimental Psychology at the University of Toronto. He also spent three years as a data analyst in the public education sector.
His research on sustained attention examines the moments when attention fails (lapses), and the surprising learning benefits that can emerge as a result. He is also developing a research stream that asks how using in-course data analysis can boost career preparedness and retention of course content.
Dr. Dubois is also passionate about facilitating transformative experiences with undergraduate students, including developing scientific skills, gaining experience in conducting real research, and taking proactive steps toward achieving their long-term goals.
In his free time, he is most likely doing family activities with his wife and kids or looking longingly at the books he doesn’t have time to read.
